Dr. Jenifer Ramsower

Dr. Jenifer Ramsower is committed to the advanced diagnosis and treatment of dry eye. Dry eye is a chronic and progressive condition that affects millions. Recent research into the causes of dry eye and the importance of maintaining normal meibomian gland function has led to a number of successful treatment options.

Dr. Ramsower is the clinical director and founder of Dry Eye Center of Florida. From 2009-2021, Dr. Ramsower practiced within a glaucoma specialty practice and noticed a common theme. Most patients were also struggling with dry eye disease, a condition that can be very painful and distort vision. Dr. Ramsower has spent the last ten years researching and studying the best treatments for dry eye. She has since made it her passion to bring the most advanced and effective dry eye treatments to her hometown within Brevard County, Florida.

Dr. Ramsower received her doctorate with honors from Nova Southeastern’s College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed a Residency in Ocular Disease at the Veteran’s Medical Center and Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Dr. Ramsower is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, a distinction earned by a small percentage of licensed optometrists in the State of Florida.  She is also certified by the Florida Board of Optometry and the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.

While not at the clinic, Dr. Ramsower enjoys spending time with her family and staying active. You can find her on the weekends either kayaking, biking or sailing with her kids.
